escape route security
An escape route is intended to provide the rescue services with quick and easy access to the building so that they can initiate effective rescue measures quickly.
In the event of a necessary escape, an escape route should be used to lead people quickly and safely to the outside or to a secured area. The door at the end of an escape route that allows access to the secured area always involves a conflict of interest between different groups of people.
On the one hand, regulations require easy opening of a door from the inside with a handle without external tools, on the other hand, insurers, police, operators, etc. require secure locking against misuse and burglary.

Commissioning – convenient and safe

SafeRoute has been designed with ease of planning and commissioning in mind. The range of functions of each SafeRoute system can be specified individually with the selected license card, while the hardware remains largely identical and can therefore be planned very efficiently.
Controlled open in the event of an alarm
​
In the event of an alarm or danger, a single escape route door or a group of doors is released via the emergency button or an external alarm system (e.g. smoke detector). The alarm is signaled optically and acoustically and can also be forwarded to the higher-level building management system if required.
Securely lock entrances
​

After authorized access, SafeRoute systems automatically lock the escape route door. If relocking is not possible, the door open monitoring reports an alarm.
Authorized inspection
​
In the simplest version, authorized access takes place via unlocking with the key switch from the inside. Depending on the license, there are up to three possible types of unlocking:
Temporary unlocking for easy access (relocking after 3-180 seconds)
Long-term unlocking (relocking after 3-120 minutes)
permanent unlocking
Comfort function in everyday life: "automated door opening"

With an additional revolving door drive and a self-locking panic motor lock, an escape route door secured with SafeRoute can be opened automatically after activation or even on a time-of-day basis.

Depending on the license selected, additional functions and more complex escape routes can also be implemented
Network controlled and monitored

All escape route doors monitored with SafeRoute can be networked over long distances using the LON and LAN standards and centrally monitored and controlled with the TMS Soft® door management software or with SafeRoute panel systems. The interfaces to OPC and ESPA enable integration into existing building management systems.
